Licensing Sub-Committee C - Wednesday, 30th April, 2025 10.30 am

The Royal Borough of Greenwich Licensing Sub-Committee C met to discuss an application to vary the premises licence for Santhiya Convenience Store, 9 Brewery Road, Plumstead. The committee heard arguments for and against the variation, which included extending the hours for off-licence alcohol sales and adding late-night refreshment services. Ultimately, the sub-committee approved a compromise, granting the licence with amended hours and additional conditions.

Children and Young People Scrutiny Panel - Wednesday, 16th April, 2025 6.30 pm

The Children and Young People Scrutiny Panel were scheduled to meet on 16 April 2025 to discuss early years provision, educational performance, and the support offered to vulnerable children. The agenda included consideration of reports on elective home education, children missing education, and suspensions and exclusions from schools. The panel was also expected to note Councillor's memberships on outside bodies and any declarations of interest.

Royal Greenwich Council met on 26 March 2025, and among other items, noted the annual audit report, discussed corporate parenting, and approved the members' allowances scheme for 2025-26. Councillors also debated petitions from residents and discussed issues ranging from traffic management to knife crime. The council approved a motion regarding dockless cycles, and an amended motion on the economic impact assessment of selling off council car parks.
