Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) - Thursday, 13th November, 2025 4.30 pm

The Doncaster Council Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) met on 13 November 2025 to discuss several key items, including the appointment of a chair and vice-chair, the approval of terms of reference and constitution, and reports on the RE Subject Leader Network, SACRE school engagement, and the draft annual report. Due to the meeting being inquorate, decisions on the appointment of a chair and vice-chair were deferred to a future meeting. Members also reviewed the terms of reference, discussed ways to support religious education in schools, and considered the draft annual report.

Health and Wellbeing Board - Thursday, 6th November, 2025 9.30 am

The Doncaster Health and Wellbeing Board met to discuss creating healthy places, including endorsement of the principles of a draft advertising and sponsorship policy and the five-year Doncaster Food Plan. The board was also scheduled to discuss the Pathways to Work Programme, the Local Plan, and the Future Parks Programme.

Extraordinary Meeting, Council - Thursday, 23rd October, 2025 4.00 pm

The Council of Doncaster Council scheduled an extraordinary meeting to be held on 23 October 2025. The main item on the agenda was a discussion of revisions to the appointment of chairs and vice-chairs of committees and sub-committees for the 2025/26 municipal year. This followed a requisition to convene an extraordinary meeting made by five Reform UK members of the council.

The Health and Adults Social Care Overview and Scrutiny Panel were scheduled to meet to discuss the progress of social care in Doncaster, the Doncaster Carers Journey, and the Overview and Scrutiny Work Plan.

Council - Thursday, 18th September, 2025 6.00 pm

The Doncaster Council meeting on 18 September 2025 included discussion of a motion of no confidence in Mayor Ros Jones, which was not passed, as well as the approval of the Youth Justice Plan 2025/26 and noting the Health and Wellbeing Board's Annual Report 2024/25. Councillors also addressed public questions about flags on lampposts, the closure of Warmsworth Library, and IVF treatment availability.
