Children and Young People Scrutiny Panel - Wednesday, 9th July, 2025 6.30 pm
The Children and Young People Scrutiny Panel were scheduled to meet on 9 July 2025 to discuss youth crime reduction, the latest performance monitoring report, and the panel's work programme for the coming year. Local Planning Committee - Monday, 7th July, 2025 6.30 pm
The Royal Greenwich Local Planning Committee met to discuss several planning applications, including a change of use for a property on Donaldson Road, an amendment to operational hours for a shop on Greenwich South Street, and the construction of new homes on Blackheath Road and Sparrows Lane. The committee approved the construction of an outbuilding at 62 Corner Green, the change of use of 21 Donaldson Road to a HMO[^1], and the construction of a pair of semi-detached homes on land to the rear of 41-45 Blackheath Road. A decision on the amendment to condition 17, relating to hours of opening, at 123 Greenwich South Street was deferred. The erection of five, four bedroom dwellings to the rear of 5-25 Sparrows Lane was also deferred for a site visit.
Planning Board - Wednesday, 2nd July, 2025 6.30 pm
The Royal Borough of Greenwich Planning Board met to discuss planning applications for the redevelopment of the VIP Trading Estate and the construction of affordable homes on Wricklemarsh Road. The board approved both applications, with conditions relating to transport contributions and construction standards.
Council - Wednesday, 25th June, 2025 7.00 pm
The Royal Borough of Greenwich Council met on 25 June 2025, and among other business, agreed to prohibit itinerant ice cream trading on King William Walk, and to dispose of the Margaret McMillan Field Study Centre, subject to certain conditions. The council also reviewed its strategic risk register and discussed a number of questions raised by both members of the public and councillors.
