Pensions Committee - Monday, 10th March, 2025 6.45 p.m.

The Pensions Committee noted updates on the administration of the Tower Hamlets pension fund, the progress of the scheme's data cleanse project and a report on the most recent meeting of the Pension Board. The committee also noted a report on the fund's risk register, a report on liquidity and cashflow monitoring and a report on scheme engagement and communications.

Licensing Sub Committee - Tuesday, 4th March, 2025 2.00 p.m.

The Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider two applications for new premises licences, for 9 Morgan Street and for Shoreditch & Soul at 110-116 Cheshire Street. The committee agreed to grant the application for 9 Morgan Street, with conditions, but did not make a decision on the application for Shoreditch & Soul. The application for Shoreditch & Soul is to be dealt with by officers under delegated powers.

Licensing Sub Committee - Thursday, 27th February, 2025 2.00 p.m.

The Licensing Sub-committee refused an application for a new premises licence from Lebanese Grill Express LTD for the Lebanese Grill at 80 Brick Lane. They also approved an application for a new premises licence from Bad Boy Pizza Bethnal Limited for Bad Boy Pizza at 419 Bethnal Green Road subject to conditions. Finally they approved the extension of the decision deadline to April 2025 for a number of other applications.

Budget Meeting, Council - Wednesday, 26th February, 2025 7.00 p.m.

The Council agreed to approve the 2025/26 budget report and the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) 2025-28. It was also agreed to adopt the Treasury Management Strategy Statement, Investment Strategy Report and Capital Strategy Report for 2025-26. The Member Allowance Scheme for 2025/26 was also approved.

Cabinet - Wednesday, 19th February, 2025 5.30 p.m.

The Cabinet agreed to adopt a new Workforce to Reflect the Community Strategy and Action Plan 2024-2026, approved the Q3 Contracts Forward Plan for 2024/25 and made recommendations on the future of waste treatment disposal and materials sorting services.
