The Banff and Buchan Area Committee agreed to dismiss Items 5(a),(b) and (c) and 6(a) and (d) on 15 September 2026. Members welcomed an informal Harbours session arranged for 17 November 2026 to consider Item 6(b). The committee also noted that the public-facing street lighting information is now live on the Aberdeenshire Council website.

The Banff and Buchan Area Committee of Aberdeenshire Council agreed to the Public Sector Equality Duty on 15 September 2026. The committee was reminded of its legal duty to have due regard to eliminating discrimination, advancing equality of opportunity, and fostering good relations between people with protected characteristics. Members were directed to consider Integrated Impact Assessments where applicable to inform their decisions.

The Banff and Buchan Area Committee decided to refuse full planning permission for alterations and extensions to a dwellinghouse at 11 Colleonard Drive, Banff on 15 September 2026. The committee refused the application due to the proposed extension's design, scale, and siting being out of keeping with the area, and its detrimental impact on visual amenity and neighbouring residential amenity through overshadowing and overbearing effects.

The Banff and Buchan Area Committee agreed to accept a further £100,000 grant from Ocean Winds UK Ltd on 15 September 2026. The funds will support community-led projects in Banff and Buchan coastal communities. The Area Manager will administer the funds, with applications determined by the Banff and Buchan Area Committee.

The Banff and Buchan Area Committee noted the Education Scotland Report on Rathen School on 15 September 2026. The committee was asked to consider the report and provide comments to the Education Service.
