Environment, Climate and Transport Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 3rd December, 2024 7.30 pm
The Committee heard presentations from community groups and council officers about the Council's efforts to tackle climate change, with a particular focus on reducing e-waste, improving recycling rates and creating nature neighbourhoods.

The Standards Committee meeting on 21 November 2024 included a report on recent complaints about Councillors' conduct. Also included for discussion were a proposed update to the rules about how Councillors work with council staff, and an amendment to the Councillors' Code of Conduct.

Councillor Una O'Halloran was elected as the new leader of Islington Council. She is the first leader of the council to have been born and raised in the borough, and the first to have been a lifelong council tenant. She was elected unanimously by councillors after being proposed and seconded by Labour councillors, and welcomed by councillors from the Green party.
Planning Committee - Thursday, 14th November, 2024 7.30 pm
The meeting was scheduled to consider a number of planning and listed building consent applications across the borough. In total three applications were scheduled to be discussed at locations in Amwell Street, Chiswell Street and the Barnsbury Estate.
