Planning Board - Tuesday, 8th April, 2025 6.30 pm
At a meeting of the Greenwich Council Planning Board, Councillor Gary Dillon, Chair of Planning, and other board members approved plans for a residential development at 2B Rathmore Road, and for cladding replacement at Greenwich Millennium Village.
Council - Wednesday, 26th March, 2025 7.00 pm
Royal Greenwich Council met on 26 March 2025, and among other items, noted the annual audit report, discussed corporate parenting, and approved the members' allowances scheme for 2025-26. Councillors also debated petitions from residents and discussed issues ranging from traffic management to knife crime. The council approved a motion regarding dockless cycles, and an amended motion on the economic impact assessment of selling off council car parks.
Cabinet - Wednesday, 12th March, 2025 2.00 pm
The meeting approved the Annual report on the Housing Capital Investment Programme for Council Homes, the Royal Greenwich Schools Strategy 2025-2029, the Greenwich Supports Strategy, the New Beresford Square Market Licensing Regime and Rules, and the DG Cities Annual Report. It also agreed the closure of Gallions Mount Primary School, noted the conversion of De Lucy Primary School to an academy, and noted the findings of the LGA peer review on health and adult services.
Health and Wellbeing Board - Tuesday, 11th March, 2025 10.30 am
The Board agreed to add the Director of Housing and Safer Communities as a non-voting member, and to recommend to the full council that the Cabinet Member for Housing be added as a voting member. It was also agreed that the Chair would sign off on the Better Care Fund plan for 2025/26 prior to the next meeting.
Planning Board - Tuesday, 11th March, 2025 6.30 pm
The Planning Board approved two applications: a Minor Material Amendment to an outline planning permission for the redevelopment of the Maryon Road and Grove Estate and the accompanying Reserved Matters application; and an application by the University of Greenwich for the demolition of a conference centre, the construction of a three-storey extension, the restoration and upgrade of the Grade II listed Devonport House, and the relocation of a Grade II listed monument.
