Extention of the Nuisance Vehicle Contract with Marston Holdings, Cabinet Member Signing - Wednesday, 19th November, 2025 11.00 am

In a meeting on 19 November 2025, Councillor Seema Chandwani, Cabinet Member for Resident Services & Tackling Inequality, approved the extension of the Nuisance Vehicle Removal Contract with Marston (Holdings) Limited (MHL). The extension, valued at £1,117,720, will run for one year from 1 December 2025 to 30 November 2026, and will allow the council to further consider future options for the service. The Cabinet Member also approved the development of an in-house feasibility assessment during the extension period, to inform the council’s long-term procurement strategy beyond 2026.

The Haringey Council cabinet convened to discuss and make decisions on a range of important issues, including housing, education, social care, and financial planning. The cabinet approved tendering processes for building new council homes at Kings Road Car Park and Tiverton Estate, and agreed to consult on proposed school admission arrangements for 2027/28. They also approved the Adult Carers Strategy 2025-2028 and a draft Homelessness Strategy for consultation, alongside addressing fire safety with new fire door contracts.

Haringey Council's cabinet approved a range of measures at its meeting, including new housing developments, a new tenancy strategy, and a procurement for print and post services. Councillors also discussed funding affordable housing through long-term investment, and the demolition of existing buildings on the Broadwater Farm estate.

extraordinary meeting with Young People, Full Council - Thursday, 16th October, 2025 6.30 pm

The Full Council of Haringey Council scheduled an extraordinary meeting with young people to discuss issues of concern to them. The meeting was scheduled to include speeches and presentations from the Haringey Youth Council, and to consider a motion reaffirming the council's support for the Youth Council. The meeting was scheduled to take place at Tottenham Town Hall.

Household Support Fund: 01 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, Cabinet Member Signing - Wednesday, 8th October, 2025 11.30 am

Councillor Seema Chandwani, Cabinet Member for Resident Services & Tackling Inequality, approved the allocation of the £4,241,687.45 Household Support Fund provided by the government for the period of 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026. The funding will be used to support vulnerable households with the cost of essentials, such as energy, food and water bills. A proportion of the funding will be made available to claim through the Haringey Support Fund.
