Licensing Sub Committee - Tuesday, 21st January, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Licensing Sub-Committee adjourned the application for a new premises licence for Popular Pizza, 536 Commercial Road, London, E1 0HY after the applicant was called to a medical emergency. The sub-committee granted an application by A Portuguese Love Affair Limited for a new premises licence for 324 Basement and 326 Ground Floor and Basement, Hackney Road, London, E2 7AX, also known as a Portuguese Love Affair, for the sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises, the provision of live and recorded music, and the provision of late night refreshment, subject to conditions.

Licensing Sub Committee - Tuesday, 7th January, 2025 6.30 p.m.

The Licensing Sub-Committee of Tower Hamlets Council met to consider an application for a new premises licence at Harvest, 103 Brick Lane. The application was granted subject to the conditions offered by the applicant in their operating schedule, which included a minimum unit price for alcohol and limiting the display space for alcohol to 15% of the total. The committee also considered a new premises licence application for Z&H One Rise Limited at 46 Brick Lane. This application was withdrawn. The committee agreed to extend the decision deadline for a number of other applications.

Licensing Sub Committee - Thursday, 12th December, 2024 2.30 p.m.

The meeting considered two licensing applications, the first of which was withdrawn by the applicant. The second application was for the variation of a licence for the Wellcome Co-op at Unit 2, 68 Smeed Road in Bow East. The sub-committee decided to grant the application. The sub-committee also agreed to the extension of four other licences.

Licensing Sub Committee - Tuesday, 3rd December, 2024 6.30 p.m.

The Licensing Sub-Committee met to consider two applications. The application for a new premises licence for Osteria Angelina at 1 Nicholl's Clarke Yard was granted. The application for a provisional statement for a new cafe at 5 Newfoundland Place on the Canary Wharf Estate was also granted.

Licensing Sub Committee - Tuesday, 19th November, 2024 6.30 p.m.

The Licensing Sub-Committee granted a new premises licence to Club Row Limited for the Knave of Clubs at 1 Club Row subject to a number of conditions. The main point of contention during the meeting was the applicant's request to be allowed to sell alcohol for consumption off the premises.
