Special Meeting: Annual Budget and Council Tax Setting, Council - Thursday, 27th February, 2025 7.30 pm

This meeting is scheduled to cover a wide range of financial matters, including the Council's budget for 2025-26, the rates at which it will charge fees for its services, its plans to invest in new buildings and infrastructure and the pay of its employees. This meeting of the Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee included a presentation about the Council’s mental health promotion activities, an update on preparations for the upcoming Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection of Adult Social Care services and consideration of the Scrutiny work programme.

This meeting was scheduled to consider a report on its Council Tax Support Scheme, its schedule of Fees and Charges for 2025/26, and to approve a range of other measures. It included motions proposed by both the Labour and Conservative groups.

Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny - Tuesday, 10th December, 2024 7.00 pm

This meeting of the Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny included for discussion a report on making GP services more accessible, and the Scrutiny team's report on the committee's work. A late item about the proposed closure of the Markhouse Centre was added to the agenda after the meeting was called-in by Councillors.

Grant of Premises Licence: K A Corner Supermarket, 96 Fulbourne Road, E17, Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee - Tuesday, 12th November, 2024 1.00 pm

The Sub-Committee agreed to grant a new premises licence to K A Corner Supermarket at 96 Fulbourne Road, Walthamstow after hearing representations from the applicant and their agent. The Sub-Committee also placed two extra conditions on the licence; staff must monitor the shop frontage to prevent customers from loitering, and they must provide residents with a phone number to contact the designated premises supervisor, Mr Tayfun Sar.
