Grant of Premises Licence: Premier (Naz Supermarkets Ltd ), 23 Station Road, E4, Licensing Act 2003 Sub-Committee - Tuesday, 12th November, 2024 3.00 pm

The Licensing Sub-Committee approved an application for the grant of a premises licence to sell alcohol off the premises at Premier, 23 Station Road, Chingford. The application was approved after the applicant agreed to amend the hours during which alcohol could be sold in response to representations made by local Councillors and residents.

Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny - Wednesday, 9th October, 2024 7.00 pm

This meeting was scheduled to discuss a range of issues relating to the Council’s provision of services to adults, with particular focus on learning disabilities and sexual health. The most significant issue on the agenda was the Council’s proposal to close the Markhouse Centre, a day centre for people with learning disabilities. The agenda also included an update on the planned recommissioning of the Council’s integrated sexual health service, in anticipation of the current contract expiring in late 2025.

Communities and Public Protection Scrutiny Commmittee - Thursday, 26th September, 2024 7.00 pm

This meeting was scheduled to involve a review of the Scrutiny Committee's past work and forward plan, before moving on to presentations and discussions on the Council's civil protection arrangements and the 'Home Streets' initiative.

Council - Thursday, 18th July, 2024 7.30 pm

The Council voted to welcome the new Labour government and to write to the Prime Minister to offer their congratulations. Councillors also voted to adopt a new Civility in Public Life action plan, and to approve the transfer of planning powers back to the Council from the LLDC.
