The Licensing (2003 Act) Sub-Committee meeting was adjourned following a request from GT, who were instructed to represent the licence holder at the review hearing. A new hearing date will be set, and all parties will be informed at least 10 working days in advance.

Licensing (2003 Act) Sub-Committee - Monday 1st December 2025 10.00 a.m.

The Licensing Act 2003 Subcommittee convened to review the premises licence for CK Off Licence and Groceries, located at 111 Romford Road, Stratford E15 4LY. The review was initiated following an application by a local resident, citing concerns over crime and disorder, public safety, public nuisance, and the protection of children from harm. After hearing from all parties, the committee adjourned to deliberate in private.

The Licensing (2003 Act) Sub-Committee meeting on 19 November 2025, chaired by Councillor Tonii Wilson, was adjourned due to a shortage of elected members. The sole item on the agenda, a new premises licence application for Impressions events at 14 Milner Road, E15 3AD, will be rescheduled for 12 January 2026.

Licensing (2003 Act) Sub-Committee - Monday 17th November 2025 10.00 a.m.

The Licensing (2003 Act) Sub-Committee met to discuss a new premises licence application for JJ Supermarket at 539-541 Barking Road, Plaistow. The committee resolved to grant the application, with amended conditions, including reduced operating hours and a restriction on the sale of high-strength alcohol. The applicant also agreed to withdraw the late-night refreshment application.

Themed, Council - Monday 10th November 2025 7.00 p.m.

The Newham Council meeting scheduled for 10 November 2025 included discussion of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee’s work programme, a themed report on growth, and the East London Joint Waste Plan. Councillors were also expected to discuss motions relating to housing and developer contributions, and to answer questions from both the public and council members. The council was also scheduled to hear from Sunder Katwala of British Futures on the work of the Commission for the Future of Belonging & Inclusion in Newham.
