Overview and Scrutiny Committee

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee examines decisions and actions taken by the Council's Executive and other committees. It has the power to call-in decisions made by the Cabinet before they are implemented, allowing for further review. The committee then reports and makes recommendations to the Full Council, the Cabinet, or relevant committees, aiming to improve council functions. Its specific responsibilities are outlined in Part 3, Section B of the Council's Constitution.
