About

The Harrow Planning Committee is responsible for making decisions on planning applications and enforcing building regulations under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and related legislation. It determines applications for certificates under the Land Compensation Act 1961 and can serve Article 4 Directions to remove permitted development rights. While the committee determines most planning applications, the preparation of the Local Development Framework and policy matters concerning borough planning, including major site development, are handled by the Cabinet.
