Newham's Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) is a statutory body responsible for overseeing religious education within the borough. It reviews and agrees the syllabus for Religious Education and makes determinations for collective worship. The committee's membership includes representatives from the Local Authority, teachers, the Church of England, and various faith communities in Newham. SACRE is also required to publish an annual report detailing its activities.
