The Home to School Travel Appeals Panel were scheduled to meet to discuss a report on behalf of the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames, and to agree on a meeting procedure. Councillor Diane White, Portfolio Holder for Children's Services (including Education) and Co-Chair - People Committee, was scheduled to attend as a substitute. The panel was expected to exclude the press and public from the meeting because of the confidential nature of the information to be discussed.

Licensing Sub-Committee Member

Licensing Sub-Committee - Tuesday 15 July 2025 9:45 am

The Kingston upon Thames Council Licensing Sub-Committee met to discuss an application for a new premises licence for Tacos MX Kingston and an application for a variation of premises licence for Rose Cottage Service Station. The committee agreed to consider the minutes of previous meetings held on 1 and 3 July 2025 as a correct record, although Councillor Anne Owen was unable to confirm the minutes of the meeting held on 3 July 2025. The sub-committee then heard the submissions for both applications but deferred making a decision until a later date.

The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames Council met to debate petitions regarding parking charges and pension fund investments, as well as to discuss a motion on welfare reform. Councillors agreed to establish a cross-party task force to review pension fund investments and also voted to campaign against changes to disability benefits. The council also formally recognised John Azar OBE, for being admitted to the status of Honorary Freeman of the Royal Borough.
