Pension Board - Wednesday 9 July 2025 10:00 am
The Kingston upon Thames Council Pension Board met virtually on 9 July 2025, and welcomed new members Kola Agbulla from Kingston University and Sandeep Bajwa from Achieving for Children. The board discussed pension administration performance and projects, governance and risk, and investment strategy and performance, and noted all updates.
Council - Tuesday 8 July 2025 7:30 pm
The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames Council met to debate petitions regarding parking charges and pension fund investments, as well as to discuss a motion on welfare reform. Councillors agreed to establish a cross-party task force to review pension fund investments and also voted to campaign against changes to disability benefits. The council also formally recognised John Azar OBE, for being admitted to the status of Honorary Freeman of the Royal Borough.
Online Meeting, Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education - Monday 7 July 2025 6:30 pm
The Kingston Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE) met to discuss and approve an updated constitution, review the annual report for 2023/24, and discuss ways to monitor standards of religious education (RE) in local schools. The council unanimously approved the updated constitution and the annual report. Members also discussed filling vacancies in the SACRE membership and explored initiatives to enhance RE in schools, such as faith walks and a quality RE award.
Licensing Sub-Committee - Thursday 3 July 2025 9:45 am
The Kingston upon Thames Council Licensing Sub-Committee convened to reconsider a licensing application from Seventa Events Limited for All Saints Church Lawns. The committee had previously adjourned a hearing on the application to request more information. Following the provision of additional details, the committee decided to grant the license with conditions.

The Licensing Sub-Committee convened to review applications for new premises licences for Chicken King and Fulham Football Club Training Ground. The committee granted the licence for Chicken King with an additional condition, and granted the licence for Fulham Football Club Training Ground as requested.
