The Tower Hamlets Council meeting addressed petitions, a motion to support children with special educational needs, and a motion to address intimidation and harassment in politics. Councillors also approved the calendar of meetings for 2025/26 and designated a new monitoring officer.

Interviews for the post of Director of Regeneration, Housing Supply and Assets, Appointments Sub Committee - Wednesday, 2nd April, 2025 10.00 a.m.

The Appointments Sub Committee was scheduled to meet to interview candidates for the role of Director of Regeneration, Housing Supply and Assets. The report pack included the agenda, the minutes of the previous meeting, and a report on the candidates who had been shortlisted. The Chief Executive of Tower Hamlets was scheduled to present a final interview report.

Strategic Development Committee - Wednesday, 12th March, 2025 6.45 p.m.

The committee approved the planning application for the demolition of the existing building at 100 to 136 Cavell Street and its replacement with a part five, part nine storey building for use as life science space, and they confirmed their earlier decision to grant permission for the demolition and redevelopment of 2-6 Commercial Street, 98,101-105 Whitechapel High Street and the Canon Barnett Primary School.

Shortlisting for the Post of Director of Regeneration, Housing Supply and Assets, Appointments Sub Committee - Wednesday, 5th March, 2025 4.30 p.m.

The Appointments Sub Committee met to decide which candidates to invite for an interview for the permanent post of Director of Regeneration, Housing Supply and Assets. Following a discussion of the candidates' performance in technical interviews, the committee agreed to progress a number of the candidates to the next stage of the process.

Shortlisting for the Post of Director of Homelessness and Housing Options, Appointments Sub Committee - Wednesday, 5th March, 2025 4.00 p.m.

The Appointments Sub Committee met to select a shortlist of candidates for the post of Director of Homelessness and Housing Options. After discussing the candidates in a closed session, they agreed on a shortlist to be invited for final interviews.
