Surrey Council met to discuss, among other business, their relationship with the newly elected national government, the provision of special educational needs support, and performance issues with the Council’s highways contractor, Ringway Infrastructure Services. The Council voted, without dissent, to approve the content of the Cabinet meeting on 25 June 2024, the minutes of the meeting on 21 May 2024, and the Scrutiny Annual Report 2023-24. They also approved a plan to update the Member Development Strategy.

Cabinet Member for Property, Waste and Infrastructure Decisions - Tuesday, 25 June 2024 11.00 am

The Cabinet Member for Property, Waste and Infrastructure, in conjunction with the Leader and Deputy Leader of Surrey Council, agreed to dispose of 19 properties deemed surplus to requirements by auction or private treaty. No questions were asked or petitions received during the meeting.

Cabinet Member for Property, Waste and Infrastructure Decisions - Tuesday, 4 June 2024 10.30 am

The Cabinet Member for Property, Waste and Infrastructure of Surrey Council, Councillor Natalie Bramhall, agreed to sell The Cottage, Norbury Park, for £737,500 subject to contract and with a variance of £20,000. The property was deemed surplus to the requirements of the council and its subsidiary, Halsey Garton Residential Ltd because it is in a poor state of repair and would require significant investment to bring up to the standard required to generate income from it.
