A significant debate also took place regarding the future of the Beddington Energy Recovery Facility.

Beddington and Wallington Local Committee - Tuesday, 20th January, 2026 7.00 pm

The Beddington and Wallington Local Committee was scheduled to discuss updates from local community groups, the services provided by Citizens Advice Sutton, and the progress of the Responsible Dog Ownership Programme. The meeting also included a session for public questions and a community showcase.

Pension Committee - Tuesday, 9th December, 2025 7.00 pm

The Sutton Council Pension Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss pension administration, governance, investments and budget monitoring. The committee was also expected to review its work programme for the coming year, and to consider its annual stewardship report.

Strategy and Resources Committee - Monday, 8th December, 2025 7.00 pm

The Strategy and Resources Committee met on 8 December 2025, and among other things, decided not to proceed with the Genr8 Kajima Regeneration Ltd (GKRL) bid for the Sutton Civic and Town Centre Regeneration, but will continue to develop proposals for housing on the current Civic Centre site and review options for relocating services within the town centre. The committee also approved a contract with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud data centre services and noted the Resilience Standards for London Self Assessment 2025.

Planning Committee - Wednesday, 3rd December, 2025 7.00 pm

At a meeting of Sutton Council's planning committee on 3 December 2025, councillors considered a range of planning applications, including proposed amendments to the Elm Grove Estate development, a reserved matters application for the same site, a change of use for a property on Surrey Grove, and a change of use for a former pub on Woodcote Road. Councillors approved the Elm Grove Estate amendments and the reserved matters application, and also approved the erection of a new industrial building on Restmor Way. Councillors refused the change of use application for Surrey Grove.
