The Council of Waltham Forest was scheduled to meet on 11 December 2025 to discuss several topics, including the council tax support scheme, fees and charges for 2026/27, and a proposed new smoke control order. Councillors were also scheduled to discuss the Corporate Parenting Board annual report and a protocol for honorary alderpeople.

Scrutiny Coordinating Committee - Tuesday, 9th December, 2025 7.00 pm

The Scrutiny Coordinating Committee met to review the council's corporate impact, progress on its Mission Waltham Forest initiative, and updates on a corporate peer challenge. The committee also received the regular scrutiny report, which included updates on the forward plan and action tracker.

Council - Thursday, 16th October, 2025 7.30 pm

The Waltham Forest Council met to discuss a range of topics, including amendments to the council's constitution, treasury management, and a motion regarding support for local businesses. Councillors agreed to amend the Council Procedure Rules and the Councillor's Code of Conduct, and noted reports on treasury management activities, scrutiny, and the use of emergency provisions. The council also rejected a Conservative Group motion calling for support for local businesses.

Scrutiny Coordinating Committee - Wednesday, 24th September, 2025 7.00 pm

The Scrutiny Coordinating Committee of Waltham Forest Council met on 24 September 2025 to discuss early intervention and prevention strategies, safeguarding partnerships, and corporate performance. The committee also planned to review action and recommendation trackers, and consider future agenda items. Councillor Yusuf Patel, Chair of the Scrutiny Coordinating Committee, was present alongside other councillors.

Council - Thursday, 17th July, 2025 7.30 pm

Waltham Forest Council met on 17 July 2025, and after observing a moment of silence for the victims of the 7/7 attacks and others, councillors discussed a range of issues including play and community spaces, the borough's financial situation, and parking fees. A motion to support and improve play opportunities for children was passed, and several appointments to committees and outside bodies were agreed.
