Cabinet - Tuesday, 24 September 2024 2.00 pm
The Cabinet noted Surrey County Council's financial position and approved an increase in the maximum value of projects that can be funded by the Your Fund Surrey small projects fund from £50,000 to £100,000. They also agreed to delegate authority to an appropriate Director, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Customer and Communities, to approve awards of up to £100,000 for the Your Fund Surrey large projects fund.
Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Lifelong Learning Decisions - Tuesday, 24 September 2024 10.00 am
Councillor Clare Curran, the Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Lifelong Learning, approved proposals to reduce the Published Admission Number (PAN)[^1] of Rygate Priory Community Junior School from 150 to 120 and to introduce a Year 3 PAN of 2 at Audley Primary School from September 2026. The decision followed a statutory consultation on admissions arrangements for Community and Voluntary Controlled schools.
Health and Wellbeing Board - Wednesday, 18 September 2024 10.00 am
The meeting resulted in a number of decisions, with the board agreeing to review the responsibility for strategic oversight of community safety and consider making it a separate arrangement. The board also agreed to endorse a poverty pledge, confirm and endorse the four areas for development from the February 2024 Health and Well-being Board Better Care Fund event, and endorse the further development of the Library of Experiences method.

Surrey County Council’s Cabinet met on the 23rd of July 2024 and made a number of decisions, including approving plans to let out one of the council’s former offices at Consort House, Redhill, approving the procurement process for a new contract for the delivery of Children’s Community Health Services across Surrey, and approving a new Road Safety Strategy including plans to introduce more 20mph zones across the County.

Surrey County Council's Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Lifelong learning, Councillor Clare Curran, agreed to the local authority's proposed Fair Access Protocol for the 2024/25 school year. The Fair Access Protocol is a statutory requirement for all councils in England. The protocol exists to ensure that children who are considered vulnerable and do not have a school place are offered a place at a suitable school quickly.
