The Licensing Sub-Committee considered two applications for new premises licences: one for the Ancient Marketplace and another for Market House, both located in Kingston upon Thames. The committee granted the licence for the Ancient Marketplace with conditions, but postponed the decision for Market House to allow for further consideration of the proposed hours and conditions.

The Licensing Committee of Kingston upon Thames Council met on Tuesday 10 February 2026 to discuss and recommend the adoption of a revised Statement of Licensing Policy for 2026-2031, and to consider a motion regarding gambling harm. The committee unanimously recommended the adoption of the revised licensing policy and unanimously carried a motion supporting national gambling reform and the protection of Kingston residents.

The Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) meeting scheduled for 2 February 2026 was set to discuss a proposed Code of Conduct for its members and review updated national guidance on Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE). The council was also scheduled to receive updates on various SACRE activities and national developments in Religious Education.

The Licensing Sub-Committee of Kingston upon Thames Council met on Tuesday 27 January 2026 to consider an application for a permanent street trading licence for Vesuvio on the Road . The committee granted the application with amended hours and additional conditions, including restrictions on trading during religious services and funerals.

Surbiton Neighbourhood Committee - Tuesday 20 January 2026 7:30 pm

The Surbiton Neighbourhood Committee was scheduled to discuss planned highway maintenance and street lighting programmes for the upcoming year, review the Surbiton Neighbourhood Community Plan, and consider a planning application for a property conversion.
