Cabinet Member for Highways, Transport and Economic Growth Decisions - Tuesday, 23 July 2024 12.00 pm

Surrey County Council received two petitions, one requesting traffic calming measures on Epsom Road, Guildford and the other requesting anti-skid surfacing on Succombs Hill, Warlingham. A decision on the Epsom Road petition will be made in September 2024. The council decided not to take any action in response to the Succombs Hill petition, but will assess the road and make a further decision later in 2024.

Council - Tuesday, 9 July 2024 10.00 am

Surrey Council met to discuss, among other business, their relationship with the newly elected national government, the provision of special educational needs support, and performance issues with the Council’s highways contractor, Ringway Infrastructure Services. The Council voted, without dissent, to approve the content of the Cabinet meeting on 25 June 2024, the minutes of the meeting on 21 May 2024, and the Scrutiny Annual Report 2023-24. They also approved a plan to update the Member Development Strategy.

The Cabinet Member for Highways, Transport and Economic Growth approved the appropriation of Surrey County Council land at Working Road in Guildford. They also approved the start of public consultation on the matter. This decision was made to facilitate junction improvements associated with the Wayside Urban Village scheme.

Cabinet - Tuesday, 25 June 2024 2.00 pm

Surrey County Council's Cabinet met and made a number of decisions relating to strategic partnerships, technology adoption in manufacturing, employment support, youth justice, school places and capital spending on schools.

Farnham Board - Friday, 14 June 2024 10.00 am

The meeting received an update on the Farnham Infrastructure Programme. It was noted that construction on the Water Lane Roundabout scheme had been completed and that the Upper Hale Road 20 mph speed limit would likely be finished in July/August 2024. A report was presented to the Board that included a number of actions that will need to be undertaken in the coming months, ahead of the next meeting of the Board.
