Extraordinary Meeting, Council - Tuesday, 9 April 2024 10.00 am

The meeting approved the appointments of a new Chief Executive and an interim Monitoring Officer for Surrey County Council. Councillors also received apologies from absent Councillors.

Cabinet Member for Highways, Transport and Economic Growth Decisions - Tuesday, 26 March 2024 11.00 am

Surrey County Council will undertake a further round of engagement with residents of Cranleigh regarding a proposed redesign of the village High Street. This follows the receipt of a petition signed by 1,108 people who are concerned that the changes will worsen traffic, pollution and access to the village.

Cabinet - Tuesday, 26 March 2024 2.00 pm

The Cabinet of Surrey County Council met on 26 March 2024 and made a number of decisions on subjects ranging from school building works to advertising policy. Notably, the Cabinet approved, in principle, the latest phase of the Surrey Infrastructure Plan, including new flood alleviation schemes. The Cabinet also discussed the future of advertising on Surrey's roads, and decided to write to the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) to understand how they are considering the environmental impact of advertising high-carbon products and services.

Council - Tuesday, 19 March 2024 10.00 am

At this meeting of Surrey County Council, a motion was passed calling on the next government to reform local government finance, and the Council agreed to set up a Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee with Hampshire County Council and Bracknell Forest Council to scrutinise the plans for the rebuilding of Frimley Park Hospital.

Surrey Council’s Cabinet made a series of decisions about the provision of additional primary school places in Reigate, the future of the Surrey Local Enterprise Partnership, and its response to the findings of a report on its services for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
